COL D'AUBISQUE - LOURDES:

Col d'Aubisque is located at an altitude of 1710m.a.s.l.

Below is a proposed route starting in Sarrance (railway station), going up the Col de Marie-Blanque (1035 m.a.s.l.) from the Escot side and up the Col d'Aubisque from the Laruns side before returning to Lourdes:

y regional train, we arrive at Sarrance, from where we start the route according to the map;
- 0,4km: (346m.a.s.l.) turn right onto the N134 road (direction Escot);
- 3,2km: (318m.a.s.l.) turn right uphill onto the D238 (signposted Col de Marie-Blanque);
- 3,9km: Escot (327m.a.s.l.) - on the left, near a small car park and a sign with the ascent profile to Col de Marie-Blanque, there is a blue drinking water tap - a good place to fill up your water bottles; turn onto D294 - (signposted Col de Marie-Blanque); the ascent begins;
- 13km: Col de Marie-Blanque (1035m.a.s.l.) - main goal achieved;

- 24,2km: Bielle (448m.a.s.l.) - after the descent, you can have coffee and replenish fluids at one of several gastronomic points; at the La Petite Faim Bielle café (on the wall of the building on the right), there is also a drinking water tap (not to be confused with two gutters nearby!), which can also be used if the café is closed;
- 28,1km: (460m.a.s.l.) turn onto D934, which we take to Laruns;
- 31,7km: (499m.a.s.l.) turn right towards the center of Laruns;
- 32,4km: centrum Laruns (521m.a.s.l.) - an ideal place for coffee and/or lunch before the ascent to Col d'Aubisque; a large selection of gastronomic points and grocery stores - the bottles should be filled up to the top;
- 34,2km: (551m.a.s.l.) turn left onto D918 and start the ascent to Col d'Aubisque;
- 38,2km: Eaux-Bonnes (726m.a.s.l.) - shops and gastronomic points; there is a public toilet on the left;
- 46,6km: Gourette (1361m.a.s.l.) -gastronomic points - it's worth stopping for coffee and fluid replenishment; there is a drinking water tap at the Office de Tourisme on the right;
- 49,2km: (1570m.a.s.l.) viewpoint with the Les Crêtes Blanches restaurant;
- 50,9km: Col d'Aubisque (1709m.a.s.l.) - main goal achieved - there are 2 gastronomic points at the car park;

- 60,5km: Col du Soulor (1474m.a.s.l.) another goal achieved - there are 2 gastronomic points at the parking lot;
- 67,9km: zjeżchaliśmy do Arrens-Marsous (887m.a.s.l.) - where there are gastronomic points and a point of drinking water intake; we head towards the D918 road towards Argelès-Gazost;
- 70,8km: Aucum (863m.a.s.l.) - on the left, behind Rue de Haubour - a place of drinking water intake and on the right at Chemin des Terrieres street - a public toilet;
- 76,7km: Arras en Lavedan (685m.a.s.l.) before the end of the route, it is worth stopping for delicious pastries at Boulangerie pâtisserie Maison Lagrue on the main road on the right side;
- 79,4km: Argelès-Gazost (472m.a.s.l.) - after the cemetery, turn right (sign Cauterets); after 200m on the left side is a drinking water intake; continue straight ahead for 100m and turn left (sign: Toutes Directions);
- 79,8km: (455m.a.s.l.) at the mini roundabout, on the right side is a public toilet; turn left (sign: Centre Ville);
- 80km: centrum Argelès-Gazost (450m.a.s.l.) - Place de la Republique - a good place for coffee and/or lunch; there is also a drinking water intake and a public toilet;
- 80,9km: (440m.a.s.l.) according to the gpx track, we arrive at the comfortable bike path Voie Verte des Gaves, which we ride all the way to Lourdes;
