Let's start the route according to the map;
- 0km: San Fernando (53m) we start at the roundabout on Avenida de la Union Europea and head north on Avenida de Tirajana, following signs for San Bartolome de Tirajana and Fataga;
- 0,6km: (69m) at the second roundabout, take the third exit towards Fataga, on GC-60 road;
- 1,5km: (102m) after crossing over the highway at the second roundabout, take the second exit with a sign for Fataga, marking the beginning of the actual ascent;
- 7,2km: Degollada de las Yeguas (445m) a beautiful viewpoint - worth stopping to admire the view; the descent begins gradually;
- 11,8km: Arteara (348m) marks the start of another section of the climb;
- 16,6km: Fataga (605m) a great place to take a coffee break and refill your water bottles - there are grocery stores and dining options available;
- 21,3km: Alto de Fataga (940m) Mirador de Fataga viewpoint - the start of a gentle descent;
- 23km: Mirador del Tunte (915m) a viewpoint on the right side;
- 23,9km: San Bartolome de Tirajana (894m) another good place to take a break (with dining options and grocery stores) and a drinking water facility; on the right side. Continue on GC-60 road, entering another section of the climb;
- 29,6km: Degollada de Cruz Grande (1240m) a viewpoint;
- 35km: Ayacata (1316m) dining options available. At the small church, turn right onto GC-600; with a sign for Roque Nublo and San Mateo;
- 42,9km: Cruz de los Llanos (1733m) turn right onto GC-130 with a sign for Pico Las Nieves. Note: at this point, you can also choose to turn left onto GC-150, towards Mirador Degollada de Becerra - offering a beautiful view of the central part of the island (a descent of 2.4km to an elevation of 1556m) and return to the same crossroads;
- 45,2km (1876m) turn right onto GC-134, heading towards Pico de las Nieves;
- 46,6km Pico de las Nieves (1936m) destination reached;

- 57,7km: Cazadores (1269m) Attention! Make a sharp right turn of - about 150° onto GC-120 road in the direction of Ingenio;
- 64,1km: Mirador y Cueva de La Pasadilla (651m) a viewpoint on the right;
