- 18,7km: Luz Saint Sauveur (719m.a.s.l.): dining options and a bike shop in the center; the best place for a coffee or lunch break as it is the last town before reaching the final destination - Luz Ardiden;
- 19,6km: take the D921 road to reach the start of the actual climb (695m.a.s.l.); - 24km: Grust (979m.a.s.l.) at the church, there's a drinking water supply;
