We're starting the route according to the map;
- 0,7km: (725m.a.s.l.) at the roundabout, we take D211 signposted for L'Alpe d'Huez;
- 1,5km: (726m.a.s.l.) the climb starts after crossing the bridge;
- 4,1km: La Garde (986m.a.s.l.) before the signpost for Auris en Oisans, there is the first place with drinking water;
- 9,1km: (1375m.a.s.l.) there is a public toilet on the right side;
- 9,9km: (1434m.a.s.l.) there is a drinking water point on the left side;
- 11,7km: (1599m.a.s.l.) we continue straight on D211;
- 14,8km: Alpe d'Huez (1827m.a.s.l.) we turn right in front of the Inter Sport shop; there are some food and drink options;
- 15,2km: (1828m.a.s.l.) at the second roundabout, we take the second exit signposted for Chemin des Lacs;
- 15,5km: Alpe d'Huez (1840m.a.s.l.) - the main destination achieved (finish of the Tour de France stage);

- 15,6km (1848m.a.s.l.) we continue straight on towards Lac Besson & Lac Noir;
