We're starting the route according to the map;
- 2,7km: (792m.a.s.l.) at the third roundabout, take the exit to D40 - signposted Les Orres;
- 12,2km: (1400m.a.s.l.) if we need to refill our drinking water turn left onto D140 - signposted Les Orres Chef Lieu, and just after leaving the village, we will find one of several drinking water sources on the right side - marked on mapy.cz; If the bottles are full, continue on D40;
- 18km: Les Orres (1663m.a.s.l.) destination reached; a good place for coffee - there are some food and beverage options;

We descend the same road to:
- 28,4km: (1105m.a.s.l.) turn right onto D39A - signposted (poorly visible from the descent side): St.Sauveur; the climb begins;
- 30,4km: Saint Sauveur (1206m.a.s.l.) - turn right uphill before the church; the climb begins with a steep gradient;
- 32,1km: Les Gaillards (1372m.a.s.l.) - destination reached;

We descend the same road to:
- 33,8km: Saint Sauveur (1206m.a.s.l.) - at the end of the descent, turn sharply right next to the church; continue downhill on D39A;
- 35,9km: Le Coin Haut (1099m.a.s.l.) - turn left, to complete the climb to La Chalp;
- 38,4km: (858m.a.s.l.) turn right onto D994D;
- 40,1km: Les Clozards (943m.a.s.l.) turn right onto D39 - signposted Crévoux; the climb begins;
- 45km: (1168m n.p.m) continue on D39 (signposted Crévoux);
- 49,5km: (1472m.a.s.l.) on the left side, there is a drinking water intake;
- 50,7km: (1553m.a.s.l.) - continue straight ahead on D39T - signposted La Chalp;
- 52,5km: La Chalp (1670m.a.s.l.) - destination reached; the road continues to Col du Parpaillon, but it is of poor quality; food and beverage options - a good place for coffee/lunch;

- 54,5km: (1553m.a.s.l.) turn left towards Crévoux;
- 55,5km: Crévoux (1627m.a.s.l.) - food and beverage options and a beautiful view of the valley; return on the same road;
- 67,1km: Les Clozards (943m.a.s.l.) - turn left onto D994D - signposted Embrun;
- 69,8km: (798m.a.s.l.) - turn right onto the bridge and head towards Gare de Embrun.
