We're starting the route according to the map;
- 2,2km: (1268m.a.s.l.) at the "bicycle" roundabout we turn onto D1091 (signposted for Col du Lautaret) - the ascent starts with a slight incline;
- 4,7km: (1332m.a.s.l.) we take the first exit at the roundabout: signposted for St. Chaffrey;
- 6km: St.Chaffrey (1365m.a.s.l.) - we turn right onto D234T (signposted for Col du Granon);
- 6,9km: (1431m.a.s.l.) - on the right, there is a drinking water intake and 2 meters earlier, a public toilet;
- 11,5km: Les Tronchets (1823m.a.s.l.) on the right, there is a drinking water intake;
- 17,4km: Col du Granon (2413m.a.s.l.) - the first goal achieved; it's worth stopping for coffee with a beautiful view at Buvette Du Granon;
