By regional train we arrive at Notre-Dame de Briançon, from where we start the route according to the map;
- 0,2km: (423m.a.s.l.) after the bridge, turn right onto D213 - the climb begins;
- 0,8km: (450m.a.s.l.) keep left, continue on D213 - signpost for Col de la Madeleine;
- 2,8km: (557m.a.s.l.) turn sharply right onto D96 - signpost for St.Laurent de la Côte;
- 8,3km: (962m.a.s.l.) there is drinking water intake on the right side;
- 25,6km: Col de la Madeleine (2000m.a.s.l.) - main goal achieved; good place for coffee at one of two catering points; we return by the same road;

- 52,6km: (402m.a.s.l.) turn right and immediately left; we drive along N90, on a safe and peaceful road behind the barriers;
- 56,2km: Cevins (394m.a.s.l.) we enter D920; there is a catering point 'Bar Des Amis' at the intersection;
- 67,9km; Albertville (339m n.p.m) at the roundabout, take the second exit onto the bridge and go straight to the train station Gare de Albertville;
