By regional train we arrive at Notre-Dame de Briançon, from where we start our route according to the map;
- 0,2km: (423m.a.s.l.) after the bridge, turn right onto D213 - the ascent begins;
- 0,8km: (450m.a.s.l.) keep left, continue on D213 - signposted Col de la Madeleine;
- 2,8km: (557m.a.s.l.) sharp right turn onto D96 - signposted St.Laurent de la Côte;
- 8,3km: (962m.a.s.l.) on the right is a drinking water intake;
- 25,6km: Col de la Madeleine (2000m.a.s.l.) - main destination reached; good place for coffee in one of the two gastronomic points; return the same way;

- 51km: (426m.a.s.l.) continue straight on D97 - signposted La Lechere;
- 53,7km: (443m.a.s.l.) at the roundabout, take the first exit on the right onto D97;
- 54,9km: (445m.a.s.l.) continue straight on D97A - signposted Aigueblanche;
- 56,5km: (457m.a.s.l.) at the third roundabout, take the exit onto D94 - signposted Aigueblanche;
- 56,9km: Aigueblanche (459m.a.s.l.) in the center, turn right onto D990; - 57,4km: (478m.a.s.l.) after leaving the built-up area, turn left and go under the viaduct, then continue safely along N90;
- 60km: Moûtiers (478m.a.s.l.) a good place in the center for coffee or lunch; the locations of gastronomic points can be found on mapy.cz and there is a drinking water intake in the park to the left of Av. de la Liberation after the bridge;
- 60,3km: (489m.a.s.l.) leave Moûtiers on Route d'Hautecore (D85) - signposted Hautecour; the ascent begins;
- 70,4km: (1180m.a.s.l.) turn left - signposted Pradier;
- 73,1km: Col du Pradier (1454m.a.s.l.) second destination reached; the asphalt road can be ridden even higher up to 1688m above sea level.
