We start on the route according to the map;
- 1,5km: Merano (319m) we enter the fairly busy SS-44 road, which runs along the Passirio river; there is also a cycle path along the river: Pista Ciclabile della Val Passiria - however, in many places, it is a gravel road;
- 18km: St. Martin in Passeier/San Martino in Passiria (593m) gastronomic points; we continue on the SS-44 road;
- 21,6km: St. Leonhard in Passeier/San Leonardo in Passiria (683m) perfect place for coffee and refilling water bottles; on the left side, there is a drinking water tap - note: it's a tap next to a tree, not a fountain; on the right, there is a gastronomic point with outdoor seating;
- 21,7km: (689m) at the roundabout, we enter the SS38 road; sign: Timmelsjoch / Passo Rombo;
- 22,1km: (681m) at the next roundabout, take the first exit according to the sign: Timmelsjoch / Passo Rombo; the climb begins;
- 28,7km: Moos in Passeier (1033m) gastronomic point and grocery store - it's worth replenishing drinks and energy snacks here - you need to turn left off the main road;
- 51,2km: Passo del Rombo / Timmelsjoch (2474m) - destination reached;
