We start on the route according to the map;
- 0,6km: (1199m.a.s.l.) after crossing the bridge over the Torrente Boite river, turn right and continue on SS48 - signposted for Passo Giau; the climb begins.
- 6,2km: (1537m.a.s.l.) turn left onto SP638 - signposted for Passo Giau and Caprile.
- 8,2km: (1536m.a.s.l.) on the right-hand side, there is information about a refreshment point (100m to the right) called 'Peziè de Parù', where you can have coffee and refill water bottles.
- 16,5km: Passo Giau (2236m.a.s.l.) the first destination reached; a good place for coffee - a refreshment point with tables outside.

We continue on SP638 towards Caprile;
- 19,7km: (1948m.a.s.l.) after bend no. 19, on the left-hand side, there is a drinking water intake;
- 20,9km: (1837m.a.s.l.) between bend no. 14 and no. 13, on the right-hand side, there is a drinking water intake;
- 26,3km: (1337m.a.s.l.) we continue straight on SP251 - signposted for Selva di Cadore;
- 26,9km: Selva di Cadore (1330m.a.s.l.) a refreshment point and grocery store; at the tourist information office, turn right onto SP20 - signposted for Belluno;
- 32,2km: (997m.a.s.l.) end of the descent; turn right onto SR203 - signposted for Caprile; 100m further on the right-hand side, there is a refreshment point 'San Marco' with tables outside;
- 32,7km: Caprile (998m.a.s.l.) turn right and continue on SR203 - signposted for Cortina and Passo Falzarego; a good place for coffee - another refreshment point with tables outside; the climb begins;
- 42,6km: (1534m.a.s.l.) turn right onto SR48 - signposted for Cortina and Passo Falzarego;
- 44,4km: (1608m.a.s.l.) on the right-hand side, there is a drinking water intake and a refreshment point called 'La Baita';
- 49,5km: Pian di Falzarego (1910m.a.s.l.) on the left-hand side, there is a drinking water intake;
- 52,1km: Passo Falzarego (2105m.a.s.l.) a refreshment point - a good place for coffee; turn left onto SP24 and continue the climb.
